Children & Young People’s Mental Health Forum – Resources Now Available
Thank you to everyone who joined our virtual Children & Young People’s Mental Health Forum. We were delighted to welcome colleagues from Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, who shared information about the range of mental health services available for children, young people and families across Cheshire West.
The session covered:
Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) in schools
Specialist Children & Young People’s Mental Health Services (formerly CAMHS)
Learning Disability Mental Health Services
Crisis and Urgent Support Services
Autism and ADHD pathways
Support available while waiting for assessments
The My Mind website and self-referral options
There was also an open Q&A session where parents and carers raised important questions about support for neurodivergent children, non-speaking children, sensory needs, eating difficulties, waiting lists and support for parent carers.
