The aim of the forum is to provide practical information, guidance and support around technology, online safety and the ways digital tools can enhance outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

We are planning to structure the session into two parts:

Part 1: Keeping Safe Online

Topics to be confirmed, may include:

Online safety and safeguarding

Practical advice for families

Understanding online risks and how to stay safe online

We are particularly interested in contributions from colleagues with expertise in delivering online safety education and awareness, including work with schools and families.

Part 2: Using Technology to Support Children and Young People with SEND

Topics to be confirmed, may include:

How technology can support children and young people across education, health and social care

Examples of helpful tools, apps and digital resources

Good practice, resources and available support

This forum is for parents and carers of children or young people age 0-25 with SEND living in Cheshire West and Chester.
