Parents’ Voices Shaping the SEND Strategy …Now & Next!

Lucy Kennerley • October 14, 2025

The Parent Carer Forum (PCF) survey has been used as one of the key ways to measure how SEND services are performing for families.

The SEND Strategy was co-produced, drawing on feedback from PCF surveys, Ofsted inspection findings, and the Council’s scrutiny review recommendations. Together, these shaped the SEND priorities now being delivered through the SEND Partnership groups.

Every piece of feedback shared by families, whether through our school reps, coffee events, forums, or one-to-one conversations, is fed back into the local SEND system. This ensures that what parents and carers experience on the ground truly influences decision-making and drives improvement across SEND services.
