My names is Joanne Cawley, I live in Chester and have two sons my youngest is 13 years old and my eldest James is 17.

James has autism, verbal dyspraxia, dyspraxia, sensory processing disorder, learning difficulties and fine/gross motor skill issues. He attended Acersfield  Primary school, a mainstream school, accessing the resource provision there, then he moved to a more specialist school , Oaklands, for his secondary school. He has now just started college at petty pool and is starting on a course for hospitality and catering.

I joined PCF to find out more and learn about the services available for children/ young people with SEN. I also wanted to be actively involved in making a difference, making it matter and helping/supporting other people in their journey! Sharing important information and voicing what works and doesn’t work in our everyday life as a family with a son with SEN.
