My name is Vanessa and I live in Chester. My son Reuben is 11 and has Cerebral Palsy and Autism.

I began volunteering with the PCF back in 2017 after going on one of their training courses.

It feels really good to be part of an organisation that aims to improve the lives of children with special needs and disabilities and their families. I’ve learned so much from being part of the PCF and it has been a great way of meeting other parents who are going through similar experiences. I enjoy working with professionals from Education, Health and Social Care and being a voice for other parent carers and it has really helped me to feel empowered and ready for each stage of our journey as a family.
